On May 27th, under the guidance of the Cybersecurity Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), a series of data security industry salon activities organized by China Software Evaluation Center (Software and Integrated Circuit Promotion Center of MIIT) was successfully held. This event was organized by Beijing King&Capital Law Firm, with the theme of "Data Security and Intellectual Property Protection in Platform Economy", gathering talents from all walks of life for in-depth discussions and exchanges, aiming at condensing the wisdom of the industry.
The event was held online, and experts and scholars from the Cybersecurity Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the China Software Evaluation Center (Software and Integrated Circuit Promotion Center of MIIT), and six enterprises made speeches and took part in the discussion at the meeting, and more than 100 other enterprises participated in the meeting. Starting from the legal and technical practical issues involved in the data collection and application activities of platform-based enterprises, the theoretical and practical issues of data security and intellectual property protection in the field of platform economy were explored and analyzed from the perspectives of platform enterprises, resident brand enterprises, and authorities. Ms. Zhao Kui, Director of Operation Center of King&Capital, acted as the host of the meeting.
In the roundtable discussion session, a number of guests carried out active and instructive discussions on the current status of data security governance of the platform economy and intellectual property protection measures in the field of digital economy, which provided new ideas and ways for data security and intellectual property protection of the platform economy.
The representative of Data Security Division, Network Security Administration Bureau, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said that MIIT has always attached great importance to and paid attention to the data security work of Internet platforms. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is studying and formulating guidelines for the development of the data security industry, promoting the construction of a data security innovation system, and supporting the high-quality development of the platform economy.
Tang Gang, assistant director of China Software Evaluation Center (Software and Integrated Circuit Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), believes that standardization can better improve the management efficiency of data security, which is conducive to the consolidation and development of collaboration within specialized groups and within the industry. China Software Evaluation Center (Software and Integrated Circuit Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) is conducting a comprehensive evaluation of data security service capabilities for enterprises engaged in data security-related fields (Notice of Data Security Professional Committee on the Evaluation of Data Security Capabilities), so as to process and standardize the evaluation standards for market players in the data security industry, in order to better satisfy users' actual business needs and promote the high-quality development of the data security industry.
Tap-ten Li, General Manager of the Net Security Center Department of China Software Evaluation Center (Software and Integrated Circuit Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), said that China Software Evaluation Center (Software and Integrated Circuit Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), as a scientific research institution directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, collects the achievements of the data security industry in various industries on a rolling basis, and advertises and promotes the selected outstanding achievements to accelerate the research of cutting-edge technologies and promote industrial innovation, and to achieve the goal of accelerating industrial development. It is worth mentioning that, in order to deepen exchanges among industrial subjects and establish a long-term and stable mechanism for industrial exchanges and cooperation, China Software Evaluation Center (Software and Integrated Circuit Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), relying on the Data Security Professional Committee of the China Computer Industry Association, has set up a Data Security Industry Expert Committee and five special working groups: the Research Working Group of the Data Security Industry, the Standards Working Group, the Talent Cultivation Working Group, the Competence Evaluation Working Group and the Results Transformation Working Group. Working Group, Standard Working Group, Talent Cultivation Working Group, Capacity Evaluation Working Group, and Achievement Transformation Working Group (the first batch of members of Data Security Industry Expert Committee and series of working groups was released), and the Data Security Industry Public Service Platform (www.china-ds.org.cn) was constructed.
