On October 10, 2024, Mr. Yang Haiming, a partner of the Criminal Department of Beijing King&Capital Law Firm, was invited to give a lecture on lawyers' practice to the junior students of China University of Political Science and Law. The title of the lecture was “Criminal Lawyers' Interviews, Review of Documents and Writing of Judicial Documents”, which is a practical course for undergraduates of China University of Political Science and Law. This course is designed to enable students to connect the theory they have learned with the practice, so that they can have an understanding of the judicial practice before they leave the campus, so that they can be more quickly integrated into the work after going out into the society.

In this course, Mr. Yang explained the process of meeting with criminal lawyers and the precautions to be taken during the meeting, so that the students had a deeper understanding of the meeting with lawyers and deepened their awareness of the risks of meeting with lawyers. In the part of reading the file, Yang through the analysis of the important role of reading the file in the criminal defense, the common format of reading the transcript to show the link to the students to explain the basic requirements of the work of the reading of the file, need to pay attention to the matters and so on. In the section of judicial document writing, Mr. Yang explained to the students the common types of criminal judicial documents and the basic requirements for writing, and analyzed the writing of documents through the display of documents made by himself in previous cases.

Through this course, the students deepened their knowledge of the judicial practice of criminal defense business, with the deepening of knowledge of practice, so that the combination of theory and practice, the two promote each other and improve the whole, and received a good effect.
