Mock trial competition is a great opportunity for students to learn about the world of law, and to learn about the world of economics and law; it is a great opportunity for students to learn about the world of politics and law. In the evening of March 22nd, the 15th Beijing University Students' Moot Court Competition was successfully held in the auditorium of Changping Campus of China University of Political Science and Law. Mr. Sun Guangzhi, senior partner of King&Capital Law Firm, was invited to be the advocate of the opening performance match.
Guests attending the event included Wang Jing, Vice President of Beijing Municipal No. 4 Intermediate People's Court; Lin Xinjian, Vice President of the Criminal Division of Beijing Municipal No. 1 Intermediate People's Court; Ou Chunguang, Member of the Trial Committee and Head of the Criminal Division of Changping Court; Zhao Peng, Member of the Procuratorial Committee of Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate No. 1 Branch, Director of the Third Procuratorate Department; Wang Xuepeng, Procurator from Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate of Changping District; Gao Wenlong, Deputy Director of Beijing Shangquan Law Office; and Gao Wenlong, Director of Beijing Shangquan Law Firm, and Zhao Tianhong, Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee of the 15th Beijing Mock Trial Competition for College Students and Professor of Criminal Law at the School of Criminal Justice, China University of Political Science and Law.
Prof. Zhao Tianhong delivered a speech as a representative of teachers. Zhao Tianhong introduced the fifteen-year history of the Beijing Moot Court Competition and was pleased to see that the ability of law students to focus on real cases has been continuously improved. She hoped that the participating students could make full use of the teaching and practice platform set up by Beimo, actively prepare for the competition, show their best selves, and present a sound exchange of confrontation.
Afterwards, the moderator gave a brief explanation of the case. The two sides of this mock court will be aimed at the characterization of the defendant's behavior to start the exchange. The clerk read out the court discipline and the presiding judge questioned the defendant. After the prosecutor stated the basic facts of the case, the prosecution and the defense questioned the defendant and the witnesses. At the end of the rigorous examination and proof of evidence, the two sides of the trial conducted a brilliant prosecution and defense.
At about 21:00, the heated courtroom debate came to an end. The panel guests, prosecution guests, defense guests were commented on the show trial. Judge Ou Chunguang affirmed the wonderful debates of both sides, summarized two points to note in the game, and encouraged students to combine the knowledge they learned with practice through the mock trial. Prosecutor Zhao Peng raised the practical significance of the issues discussed in the Mock Trial Competition, and wished the students to gain their abilities effectively in the Mock Trial Competition. Sun Guangzhi, a lawyer from the defense side, introduced the difference between a real trial and a moot court, and looked forward to students feeling and experiencing the charm of a trial.
The unveiling of the “Northern Model” performance competition provided an open, immersive and original court debate display for all the team members, teachers and students of the university, allowing us to improve our understanding of the mock court, explore the interest of practical training, and feel the charm of legal practice in the observation. The 15th Beijing Mock Trial Competition unveiled in the applause of the show came to an end, at the same time, the 15th Beijing Mock Trial Competition and the Fifth Beijing Mock Trial Competition for College Students were officially opened.
Mock court is a law, and we vow to be the world of the warp and weft. Keeping up with the development and focusing on the controversy, this Northern Model Performance Competition focuses on the bizarre network story of Chen Hui and Li Lei, and lets us experience the operation of the law and how the knowledge of the law breaks down the barrier between the theory and practice by means of the mock court. It was a great honor to watch this performance competition live and feel the charm of court debates and the solemnity and sanctity of the law.

Beimao has always been the benchmark of moot court competition in my mind. Since I first enrolled in the school, four years have passed, and I am honored to once again enjoy the elegance of my predecessors and feel the charm of court debate. With a sentence of the whole court stood up, more than a thousand spectators rose at the same time, with a gavel fell, the legal people courtroom defense a good show was staged, three hours is still the sound of the aftermath, the aftermath of the booming.

For the litigation procedures in books: preparation for trial, announcement of the opening of the trial, trial investigation, etc., this show has shown from abstract to concrete, which is knowledge that cannot be obtained by simply reading textbooks. Really close to such a court, I saw the investigation of the rigor, objectivity, feel the court debate and competition. Whether it is the accusation of the prosecution, or the response of the defense, or the presiding of the trial judge, all of them let us intuitively feel the charm of the court debate.

Beijing Mock Trial Competition for College Students
Beijing Mock Trial Competition for College Students is a criminal mock trial competition for college students of law colleges and universities sponsored by Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, hosted by China University of Political Science and Law, and co-organized by China University of Political Science and Law Student Union, which is dedicated to cultivating the comprehensive qualities of legal talents, and improving college students' ability of practice and innovation. In the coming month, 48 teams from Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law and other colleges and universities will meet again at the University of Law, and the expert judges will gather under the Jundu Mountain to open a new chapter of the “Northern Model” together.
