In the end, the Procuratorate adopted the views of the defence and agreed to accept the refund, a key breakthrough that laid a solid foundation for the subsequent defence work.

Efficient Preparation, Saving the Day

When the Procuratorate agreed to accept the refund, it was already the penultimate day of the review and approval of the arrest. The defence lawyer quickly contacted the suspect's family, explaining in detail the importance and urgency of the preparation of the payment, and instructed them to act quickly. With the full co-operation of the family, the husband and wife were able to pay back the money on the last day of the review and approval of the arrest. At this time, the defence lawyers were waiting at the entrance of the Procuratorate early in the morning to meet with the prosecutor again, to submit the refund vouchers and other non-approval of the additional materials in person, and to reiterate their defence opinions, in order to strive for the best possible outcome.

This result not only allowed the couple to meet their family before the Spring Festival, but also made them feel happy, regaining their freedom and hope, and marvelling at the power of the lawyers to save the day!
