On April 6, 2025, Wang Zhiqiang and Pan Nanyu of King&Capital Law Firm, together with Judge Wang Ruoyu of the Criminal Trial Court of Beijing Municipal Changping District People's Court and Prosecutor Zhang Sike of the Second Prosecution Department of Beijing Municipal Changping District People's Procuratorate, were invited to participate in the 12th “Kyoto Cup” Criminal Mock Trial Competition, the second round of points competition of the main court of the criminal moot court competition, which is sponsored by the Beijing King&Capital Law Firm and hosted by the Students' Union of the School of Criminal Justice of the China University of Political Science and Law. “King&Capital Cup” Criminal Mock Trial Competition, the second round of the main court points competition.

Before the start of the competition, two lawyers from King&Capital Law Firm arrived at the site of the competition in advance with the judge and the prosecutor, carefully read the competition case file and the paperwork submitted by the teams, and gained a comprehensive understanding of the schedule and the basic facts of the case.

In the process of the competition, the judges and guests formed a collegial court together, guiding the contestants to complete the “Prosecution and defense”, “Proof of evidence”, “Court debate”, “Trial summary”, “Court hearing”, “Court hearing”, “Court hearing”, “Court hearing” and “Court hearing”. “Summary of the trial” “final statement” and other five links, and provide appropriate guidance; after the adjournment of the court, the panel retired, the judges and guests of the collective discussion, based on the scoring standards and the performance of the court on the prosecution and the defense side of the detailed scoring, and ultimately assessed the winners Finally, the judges and guests evaluated the performance of the prosecution and the defense from their own experience in terms of standardization of documents, trial strategy and business ability.
