Recently, Qingdao University of Science and Technology, “‘Seeking Success’ Forum” of “criminal property type requirements and coercive measures to limit and respond to” was successfully held in the school of law simulation court. Fu Qingtao, a lawyer from Beijing King&Capital Law Firm and a part-time professor from the Law School of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, was invited to give a lecture, and nearly 100 graduate students from the Law School attended the lecture.
Fu Qingtao analyzed the requirements and limitations of criminal seizure and freezing by distinguishing the types of criminal property involved in the case, and then put forward the legal remedy path and response ideas for improper seizure and freezing. He firstly introduced the criminal “property involved in the case” and its classification; then combined with the practical experience, he described in detail the requirements and limitations of the seizure, detention and freezing of property in criminal cases as well as the ways of remedies; finally, Fu Qingtao from the two aspects of “expressing opinions to the prosecution authorities and the defense of property at the trial stage” and “objections to ownership”, and the legal remedy paths. Finally, Fu Qingtao explained the response to the examination and handling of criminal property and the direction of law amendment from the aspects of “expressing opinions to the prosecution authorities and property defense at the trial stage and objections to ownership”. In the interactive session, Prof. Fu Qingtao shared his experience of working as a judge and lawyer for many years, which provided reference for students in career planning, and the audience responded enthusiastically.
The lecture instruction is an important exchange of academic interaction between King&Capital expert lawyers and the university law school, which provides a model for lawyers to combine practice with law studies and give back to the theory. Through the opening of the forum lectures, the sense of academic responsibility of the lawyer's profession was strengthened, and also broadened the horizons of the students of the law school, deepened the thinking and critical spirit of the graduate students, and provided important references for the students' dissertation topics and career choices.
