On May 26, 2025, the School of Law of Civil Aviation University of China (CAUC) invited Dr. Teng Jie to give a lecture on the topic of “Application of Trust Law and Fiduciary Obligations in Civil and Commercial Activities” for the undergraduate students of the School of Law in the mock court.

Firstly, Dr. Teng Jie started from the origin of trust, systematically explained the basic theory and core meaning of trust legal relationship, pointed out the difference between trust contract and entrustment contract, as well as the unique status of trust in the whole civil and commercial law, and introduced in detail the important functions of trust in the market economy such as financial management on behalf of others, risk avoidance, economic service, etc. by citing the typical case of a listed company realizing the asset segregation through the family trust, and through the interspersed explanation. Important functions, and through the interspersed explanation of a number of vivid practice cases to the students explained in detail the trust business and the important role of lawyers in civil and commercial activities.

In the interactive session, Mr. Teng Jie acted as a “counselor”, explored with students the career development planning and path, in the face of “young lawyers how to break through the professional bottleneck” questions, he used his own doctoral studies, and aspired to be a lawyer as a blueprint for his growth experience, pointing out that the law students should be solid foundation of jurisprudence, deep plumbing vertical lawyers, and the law students should be able to make a good use of the law. He pointed out that law students should consolidate the foundation of jurisprudence, plowing into vertical fields and building resource networks. Mr. Teng also interacted and discussed with the students on the study of civil and commercial law, career planning for lawyers, and the growth and accumulation of civil and commercial lawyers, and patiently answered their questions.

Many students were still interested in the lecture and flocked to Mr. Teng Jie after the event, asking questions and discussing cutting-edge issues such as trust law practice. Through this seminar, teachers and students of the School of Law of Civil Aviation University of China broadened their horizons, gained new knowledge, and benefited greatly from the practice and career development of civil and commercial lawyers.
