Beijing Juyou Law Firm has been legally retained by Mr. Huang Junjie to represent him in legal proceedings. The firm has appointed attorneys Zhou Wenda and Pan Nanyu as his litigation agents to continue pursuing legal remedies regarding the infringement of his reputation rights by certain online users. We now provide an update on the latest developments in the case as follows:
I. Case Proceedings and Enforcement Status
1. Case No. (2024) Jing 0491 Min Chu 19731
The Beijing Internet Court issued a civil judgment on May 29, 2025, ruling that the remarks posted by Weibo user “Li Hua Yu Huo-” (UID: 5892075861) on Weibo constituted defamation and slander against Mr. Huang Junjie, thereby infringing upon his reputation rights. On September 30, 2024, the user publicly posted an apology statement on their Weibo account, fulfilling their obligation to apologize.
2. Case No. (2024) Jing 0491 Min Chu 17609
On May 6, 2025, the Beijing Internet Court issued a civil judgment, ruling that the remarks made by Weibo user “Wenwen's Corn” (UID: 7432381130) constituted infringement. Since the user is a minor, the court ruled that their guardian should fulfill the obligation to apologize, and the relevant apology statement has been legally published on the China Judiciary Announcement Network.
3. (2024) Beijing 0491 Civil Case No. 17610 and (2025) Beijing 04 Civil Appeal Case No. 619
After first-instance and second-instance proceedings, the court ultimately ruled that the remarks made by Weibo user “Wang Chuchuchu” (UID: 7629783803) constituted infringement and ordered them to publicly apologize on the Weibo platform. The case has now entered the enforcement phase, and our firm will continue to monitor the enforcement progress to ensure the judgment is fully enforced.
II. Our Firm's Legal Position
The internet is not a lawless zone; individuals must be held accountable for their own statements. For malicious fabrication and dissemination of false information that damages others' reputations, our firm will resolutely take legal action to protect our clients' legitimate rights and interests. We urge netizens to speak rationally and avoid blindly believing or spreading unverified information.
Our firm will continue to monitor online public opinion, collect evidence of new infringements in accordance with the law, and take legal action. At the same time, we also hope that the infringers will take the initiative to correct their mistakes, eliminate the negative impact, and avoid further legal liability.
The above situation is hereby reported with the entrustment and authorization of Mr. Huang Junjie.
