On August 3, 2025, the Chaoyang District Selection Finals of the Beijing Youth Lawyers' Criminal Mock Trial Competition came to a successful conclusion, with teams composed of young lawyers from Beijing winning the top two places. The prosecution team, comprising Zheng Xuan and Qian Hao from the Criminal Law Division II and Wang Lili from the Financial Law Division II, secured first place, while the defense team, comprising Feng Wang and Chen Sainan from the Criminal Law Division III and Liu Bingyang from the Financial Law Division II, claimed second place.

Additionally, Zheng Xuan was awarded the title of “Best Criminal Defense Lawyer,” and Feng Wang received the title of “Outstanding Criminal Defense Lawyer.”

Based on their experience in the preliminary competition, the two teams from King&Capital Law Firm refined their skills, repeatedly reviewed issues, focused on training and practice, innovated their presentation methods, and refined their courtroom expressions, laying a solid foundation for excellent competition results.

A total of ten teams participated in the Chaoyang District Selection Competition Finals, and six teams were selected to enter the preliminary round of the first sub-division. The two teams from King&Capital Law Firm were randomly assigned to the prosecution and defense sides, respectively, and exchanged roles with the preliminary round, but the participating lawyers overcame the difficulties brought about by the change of roles in a short period of time and won the unanimous recognition of the judges and audience with their professional analysis of the simulated case, wonderful expression, and moving emotions.

The outstanding performance of the two teams was made possible by the hard work and diligent training of each participating lawyer, as well as the pre-competition guidance from senior partner lawyers and the strong support from relevant departments. The Chaoyang District competition has now concluded. The two teams will continue to review their performance, identify areas for improvement, and prepare thoroughly for the regional competition, aiming to achieve even greater success in the upcoming intense competition!
