On September 15, 2025, Mr. Tang Jianbin, Director of Kyoto Center for Environment, Food, Medicine and Knowledge of Law, and his team were invited to China Agricultural University (CAU) to discuss the vision of cooperation between the Center and CAU, which was held in the conference room of the School of Humanities and Development, East Campus of CAU. Both parties fully exchanged views on the possibilities of cooperation in the future, and reached a preliminary consensus, which laid a good start for the future in-depth cooperation. This activity was organized by the School of Humanities and Development of China Agricultural University (CAU).
The event was hosted by Prof. Liu Mingming, Secretary of the Law Department of the College of Humanities and Development of China Agricultural University, and attended by Prof. Wang Chong, Vice Dean and Professor of the College of Resources and Environment of China Agricultural University, Prof. Yin Shutao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Food Science and Nutritional Engineering, Prof. Li Yumei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Humanities and Development and Prof. Li Yumei, Deputy Director of the Department of Law of the College of Humanities and Development, Profs. Zhu Zhiyi and Luo Jiao, Associate Profs. Zhou Chao, Associate Professor Zhu Longjiao from the Department of Nutrition and Health and Nutrition and Health Functional Nucleic Acid Laboratory, Tang Jianbin, Director of Kyoto Environment, Food and Drugs and Knowledge Legal Research Center, Zhang Yongfu, Yan Huainan and Wang Zhiqiang, Associate Directors, and attorneys Wen Xiuchen and Liu Bingyang attended the fair.
On behalf of the College of Humanities and Development, College of Resources and Environment, and College of Food Science and Nutritional Engineering of China Agricultural University, Prof. Li Yumei, Prof. Wang Chong, and Prof. Yin Shutao, respectively, introduced in detail their respective disciplinary setups, research directions, national platforms, and featured achievements, and their significant strengths in the fields of agricultural law, environmental law, food safety law, and intellectual property rights, as well as their many influential activities and research. Director Tang Jianbin introduced in detail the research specialties, think tank and researcher team of Kyoto Environmental, Food and Drug Law Research Center, the results of cooperation with universities, and the work carried out since its establishment.

This meeting centered on the cooperation between China Agricultural University and the Kyoto Research Center for Environment, Food, Medicine and Knowledge of Law, involving exchanges and discussions in various colleges and research fields. The two sides jointly explore the combination of law and technology through typical cases in the areas of food safety, environmental protection, intellectual property, etc., to form guiding cases and promote the establishment of industry standards; co-organize seminars, forums, and other activities, and co-publish books or research reports to promote the combination of academia and practice.
Through the cooperation with the Center, Nong'an University hopes to provide more internship opportunities for students, especially in the field of legal practice, and at the same time to explore the possibility of jointly offering courses or lectures, inviting professional lawyers to give lectures to the students and share their practical experience. The Center expressed its willingness to help Nong's students with internships and provide opportunities to participate in real cases to help students improve their practical abilities, and at the same time, the Center proposed to set up a pool of experts, invite technical and legal experts from Nong's University to participate in case argumentation and issue professional opinions, and explore the possibility of combining Nong's technical support with the technical support of Nong's University in the practice of law to solve the technical difficulties in complex cases.
The two sides look forward to promoting the deep integration of law and technology through cooperation, solving practical problems, cultivating more composite talents with interdisciplinary backgrounds, and providing better legal services for the society.

Coinciding with the 120th anniversary of China Agricultural University (CAU), after this activity, Prof. Li Yumei led the center staff to visit the landmark buildings with historical significance and cultural value, such as the Centennial Bell, the old water tower, the new library and other buildings on the East Campus of CAU, as well as the exhibition of achievements in solving people's livelihoods, governing studies and educating talents, including the Science and Technology Courtyard, and tasted the special pastry on the campus of CAU, which made the center and its staff feel the deep historical deposits and the richness of the century-old university and the importance of the university's legal system. This made the Center and its delegation feel the deep historical deposits and unique campus cultural characteristics of the century-old university, deepened the friendship between the two sides, and opened the curtain for future cooperation.
