On the afternoon of December 18, 2025, the Trademark Law Committee of Beijing Lawyers Association held a salon on the theme of “Reversal of Judgement - Seminar on Representation Ideas and Practical Skills in Trademark Litigation Reversal Cases”. Mr. Yu Yamin, a partner of Beijing King&Capital Law Firm, was invited as the guest of honor to share the cases in this salon.

This activity focuses on the case of revocation of the decision of the State Intellectual Property Office or the first instance judgment in trademark administrative litigation and civil litigation, and shares in-depth ideas and practical skills of representation. Based on this, Mr. Yu Yamin brought a wonderful sharing on the theme of “‘Coconut Rocket and Picture’ Trademark Case Sharing”.

At the meeting, Mr. Yu Ya Min started from the introduction of the case, the review of three-dimensional logo trademark, the agency experience and legal significance of the summary of three major aspects, combined with the specific case details of the current review situation, the agent how to plan for enterprises to apply for trademark registration, encountered in the “Trademark Law”, Article 10, paragraph 1, paragraph 7 of the seventh reason for rejection of the program and litigation strategy. After the case sharing by Mr. Yu Yamin, the participants also asked questions and had a warm discussion.

At present, many enterprises' trademarks have been rejected by Article 10(1)(7) of the Trademark Law, but according to the statistics, the success rate of overturning the determination through rejection review is only 8%. The case brought by Mr. Yu Yamin is typical, and through the combination of theory and practice cases, it provides ideas to deal with the refusal of Article 10(1)(7) of the Trademark Law.
