On December 24th, 2025, Ms. Qi Xiaoling, senior partner of King&Capital Law Firm, was invited to Tongzhou Campus of Renmin University of China to give a special lecture to the master students of the Law School on the topic of “Professional Qualities of a Lawyer and their Formation” under the auspices of Prof. Shi Yan'an, Director of the Research Center of Criminal Law Science of Renmin University of China. He gave a lecture on the topic of “Professional Qualities and Development of a Lawyer” to the master students of the Law School, and shared his practice experience and professional insights with the outstanding law students face-to-face.
As a practicing lawyer in the field of criminal law for more than 20 years, Ms. Qi Xiaoling always believes that an excellent criminal lawyer not only needs solid professional skills, but also needs to have humanistic feelings and responsibility. In the lecture, she combined the typical cases she experienced with her professional growth story, and shared her experience from three dimensions of “professional ability construction”, “professional ethics” and “growth path planning”, and put forward that “Fear of the law, respect for clients, and adherence to the bottom line” are the fundamentals of a legal person's life.
“The life of law does not lie in logic, but in experience”, Mr. Qi repeatedly emphasized the importance of practice in the lecture, the road of law is destined to be full of challenges, but as long as the professionalism and honesty, you can walk steadily and far on the road of guarding the rule of law.
