Released on:2026-04-20

Currently, the China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership continues to deepen, with the Belt and Road Initiative aligning closely with Indonesia’s “Global Maritime Fulcrum” vision, and bilateral economic and trade cooperation holding immense potential. To advance substantive bilateral cooperation, foster mutually beneficial outcomes for enterprises, and build a bridge for high-level communication between government and business sectors, the 2026 China-Indonesia Trade and Investment Conference was grandly held in Beijing on April 1, 2026. Under the theme of “Deepening Industrial Chain Synergy, Building a New Ecosystem for SME Cooperation,” the conference focused on five key sectors—energy and minerals, financial innovation, infrastructure development, agriculture and food, and international trade—to establish an efficient and practical platform for cooperation and exchange between Chinese and Indonesian enterprises. Attorney Liang Yali, Senior Partner at King&Capital Law Firm and Director of the King&Capital Criminal Defense Research Center, was invited to attend this grand event.

Conference Venue

Co-hosted by the China Association for the Promotion of International Transnational Corporations and the Asian Trade, Tourism, and Economic Council (ATTEC), the conference adopted a model combining “policy interpretation, thematic matchmaking, and implementation of outcomes.” It brought together high-level government officials, executives from multinational corporations, representatives from financial institutions, and SME representatives from both China and Indonesia to jointly explore trade and investment opportunities and strategies for risk management. Participants generally agreed that the economies of China and Indonesia are highly complementary and offer vast potential for cooperation. They emphasized the need to further deepen industrial chain synergy, jointly build cross-border service systems, and work together to expand into international markets.

Attorney Liang Yali at the conference

As a seasoned expert specializing in criminal defense, corporate compliance, and cross-border legal risk prevention, Attorney Liang Yali has long focused on practical research in corporate legal risk prevention, the establishment of cross-border investment compliance systems, and the management of corporate criminal risks, possessing extensive experience in corporate legal services. Her invitation to this event not only reflects the industry’s high recognition of her professional capabilities and international perspective but also highlights King&Capital Law Firm’s professional commitment to supporting enterprises in their “going global” strategy.

During the conference, while interacting with other attendees, Attorney Liang Yali noted that while small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) expanding overseas face vast market opportunities, they also encounter multiple challenges such as cross-border compliance, investment risks, and dispute resolution. As professional legal service providers, lawyers should proactively align with the nation’s broader strategy of opening up to the world, offering enterprises end-to-end, one-stop cross-border legal support. This will help enterprises establish robust compliance frameworks, mitigate legal risks, and safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, enabling them to expand overseas with greater stability, reach further, and operate with greater peace of mind.

It is reported that the conference brought together high-level government officials from China and Indonesia, executives from multinational corporations, heads of financial institutions, representatives from business associations, and numerous representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises. A representative from the China Association for the Promotion of International Multinational Corporations stated that in the future, the association will fully leverage its platform and resource advantages to continuously promote the implementation of relevant outcomes.

King&Capital  Law  Firm has consistently aligned itself with the nation’s strategy of opening up to the outside world, actively expanding its cross-border legal services to support enterprises in participating in international cooperation and competition. Moving forward, the firm will continue to leverage its professional strengths to deeply engage in international economic and trade legal services, providing more precise and efficient legal safeguards for Chinese enterprises’ cross-border investments and trade cooperation, and contributing its legal expertise to deepening China-Indonesia economic and trade cooperation and advancing high-level opening up.
