Released on:2026-05-15

On May 8, 2026, as part of the initiative “10,000 Party Member Lawyers Assisting Communities: Prioritizing Public Satisfaction,” the CPC Committee of King&Capital  Law  Firm organized a lecture titled “Resolving Neighborhood Disputes and Safeguarding Peace Through the Law” for residents of Community 4, Kangying Jiayuan, Sunhe Township. The lecture was delivered by Jiang Ning, a Party member and lawyer at King&Capital  Law  Firm. The lecture focused on common neighborhood disputes encountered in residents’ daily lives, such as noise disturbances, water leaks, the installation of air conditioner outdoor units, and the use of building vibration devices. Drawing on typical case studies, it provided practical legal guidance to community residents.

Starting from the provisions of the Civil Code regarding neighborly relations, Attorney Jiang Ning explained that neighbors should adhere to the basic principles of “convenience, unity, mutual assistance, fairness, and reasonableness.” Using examples such as noise disturbances and water leaks, he advised residents to preserve evidence—including communication records, on-site photos and videos, and records of mediation by property management or neighborhood committees—when encountering neighborhood conflicts, so they can protect their legitimate rights and interests in a lawful and rational manner.

During the lecture, Attorney Jiang Ning specifically cautioned against resolving neighborhood disputes through methods such as “fighting noise with noise” or “fighting evil with evil.” Actions like using building-shaking devices, intentionally creating noise, or splashing foul substances not only fail to resolve the issue but may also result in legal liability for the perpetrator. For disputes involving noise, water leaks, and similar issues, residents are encouraged to prioritize resolution through communication and negotiation, as well as mediation by the community or property management. If negotiations fail, residents may, depending on the specific circumstances, seek legal recourse through filing complaints, reporting to the police, applying for injunctions, or initiating litigation.

The content of this lecture was closely aligned with residents’ daily lives, offering strong practicality and relevance, and helping attendees gain a deeper understanding of how to handle neighborhood disputes and protect their rights. Following the presentation, community leaders expressed their sincere gratitude to the CPC Committee of King&Capital Law Firm for organizing the event.

Moving forward, King&Capital Law Firm will continue to leverage its professional expertise to actively participate in grassroots rule-of-law initiatives and public legal education activities, providing community residents with higher-quality, practical legal services.
