Wang Yang’s practice areas include responding to tax audits, tax administrative reconsideration and litigation, criminal defense in tax-related cases (particularly those involving VAT invoice fraud), cross-border tax matters, tax issues related to equity transfers, and compliance with overseas asset reporting and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS). He is listed as a tax lawyer in Chambers Asia-Pacific.
It is worth noting that Attorney Wang Yang possesses a multidisciplinary professional background: he previously served in the national tax system, holding various public office positions within tax authorities; he subsequently joined Ernst & Young to work in tax consulting, where he served as head of corporate tax; in 2017, Attorney Wang Yang transitioned to full-time legal practice, systematically applying his more than ten years of experience in tax regulation, cross-border tax consulting, and corporate practice to his tax and finance legal services. Attorney Wang Yang also holds an LLM in International Tax Law from the University of Michigan Law School.
