Since beginning his practice, he has focused on criminal compliance, civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, and corporate litigation and compliance, specializing in handling various complex and challenging commercial disputes. Notable cases he has handled include: one of the Beijing Financial Court’s Top Ten Landmark Cases—a bill of exchange recourse case involving a technology company; the LeTV and Kangdexin securities false statement cases; a series of disputes involving mergers and acquisitions of listed companies; the arbitration case involving a massive equity transfer between Peking University Qingniao and Grandall Real Estate; and a Tesla product liability dispute. Among these, the LeTV case was awarded the Commercial Law Outstanding Transaction Award.
Thanks to his outstanding professional capabilities, he has received numerous prestigious industry honors, including: 2026 Benchmark Litigation “Lawyer of the Year” for Beijing in the Asia-Pacific and China regions; 2024 ALB China “Top 15 Litigation Lawyers”; 2025 LegalOne “Top 100 Corporate and Commercial Practice Elites”; and inclusion in LawNews’ 2024 Directory of Elite Lawyers in the Dispute Resolution Field.

Sun Jinli is a Senior Partner at Beijing King&Capital Law Firm. He graduated from Wuhan University with a Master of Laws degree. With nearly two decades of experience in the acquisition and disposal of non-performing assets, Attorney Sun specializes in designing comprehensive solutions for various complex and challenging non-performing asset projects. He has represented clients in numerous debt and credit disputes involving financial institutions, as well as a series of major and complex cases related to non-performing asset projects. In addition, he provides non-litigation legal services for outbound direct investment operations of financial institutions such as asset management companies, trust companies, and fund management firms, and offers full-cycle legal services for clients’ major investment and financing transactions, involving assets totaling over 100 billion yuan.
Over the years, Mr. Sun has provided professional and meticulous legal services to a wide range of clients, including the four major asset management companies, numerous trust companies, banks, fund management firms, state-owned enterprises, and listed companies. He has accumulated specialized knowledge and legal service experience across multiple industries and has earned high recognition from his clients.
Ma Zhao, a partner at Beijing King&Capital Law Firm and Deputy Secretary-General of the Civil Litigation Committee of the Beijing Lawyers Association, graduated from China University of Political Science and Law. Her primary practice areas include corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, civil and commercial litigation, the intersection of criminal and civil law, and class-action litigation; she specializes particularly in handling major, complex, and challenging cases. She has represented clients in landmark class-action disputes, with the total amount in dispute across this series of cases reaching hundreds of millions of yuan. Facing an extremely unfavorable situation—where the overall success rate for similar cases was less than one ten-thousandth and the client had already lost the first-instance trial entirely—Attorney Ma Zhao successfully overturned the ruling on appeal, had the final judgment set aside, and thereby averted a risk of losses amounting to hundreds of millions of yuan for the client. Thanks to her numerous outstanding cases and solid professional performance, Attorney Ma Zhao has been honored with the LegalOne Elite 100: Dispute Resolution, the LegalOne Merits rating, the LegalOne “Stellar Accolade,” the 2025 Outstanding Transaction Award from *Commercial Law* magazine, the 2025 Benchmark Case Award from LawNews, and the title of “Masterful Lawyer” in the Corporate and Commercial Law (North China) and Dispute Resolution categories of LawNews’ *Guide to Premium Legal Service Brands (2025)*.
