To gain a precise understanding of the latest judicial trends in the field of artificial intelligence and enhance the firm’s comprehensive capabilities in providing digital legal services, on September 16, 2026, Beijing King&Capital Law Firm organized a special study seminar on the “Opinions on the Lawful Trial of Disputes Involving Artificial Intelligence” (hereinafter referred to as the “Opinions”). More than ten attorneys participated in the seminar.
Based on multiple existing laws governing China’s digital sector, the “Opinions” establish two fundamental principles—a people-centered approach and support for innovative development—at the level of general requirements. They define the judicial standards for courts to properly handle various AI-related disputes and provide important judicial guidance for lawyers handling cases involving cutting-edge technologies.

The participating attorneys engaged in in-depth discussions based on their case handling experience and legal practice. Focusing on the key provisions of the document, they addressed practical issues such as the regulation of AI-related intellectual property infringements, violations of personal rights, the protection of AI data rights, the determination of liability for generative AI infringements, and the principles of liability attribution in AI-related infringement cases. By integrating practical dimensions such as AI algorithms, information protection, and consumer rights protection, they analyzed how the new regulations would require adjustments in their approach to case representation, identified the focal points of judicial disputes in AI-related cases, and and shared case-handling approaches and practical experience regarding new types of AI-related cases.

Participating attorneys unanimously noted that this session clarified the underlying logic of judicial rulings on AI cases. In future case handling, they will strictly implement the spirit of the “Opinions,” uphold the principle of balancing development and security, and strike a balance between the innovative development of AI technology and the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of civil entities.
Moving forward, King&Capital Law Firm will continue to monitor developments in judicial policies regarding artificial intelligence, deepen its expertise in digital legal services, enhance its professional capabilities in handling new and complex cases, and provide clients with higher-quality, cutting-edge legal services.
