King and Capital has been appointed by Beijing Shanxi Merchants Rongxin Real Estate Development Co. Ltd., to provide legal services during the whole development of its real estate investment project “United Shanxi Merchants Tower” located in the Lize financial business zone, Beijing.
On February 22, 2011, the United Shanxi Merchants Investment Co. Ltd. Was awarded the right to construction on the E-17 Block of state-owned land in, Lize business zone, Fengtai District, which had been advertised for bids in the Beijing land transaction market. The site will be the headquarters of the United Shanxi Merchants Investment Co. Ltd. and the United Shanxi Merchants Tower is to be built on it.
The United Shanxi Merchants Tower is located in the Lize financial business zone of Fengtai District, which has been called the “last piece of golden land" in Beijing between the second and the third ring roads. The high price of this site led to its being nicknamed the “King of Land” in 2011.
Foundation work on the tower began on December 10, 2011. The planned building, which will be about 100 metres in height, will have an area of around eighty thousand square meters, and is expected to be completed in three years. Banks, office buildings, clubs, shops, restaurants and other businesses will be accommodated in the tower, which will aim to provide a modern way of life that seamlessly connects business and entertainment.
King and Capital Partner Meng Bing, along with his team, which includes Lin Minjie, Zou Qizhao, Tang Lijun, and Zhang Shuang have been assigned to provide legal advice, analysis of legal risks, and measures for risk prevention during the whole process of the project implementation.
