King and Capital Law Firm is now the the Legal Counsel for the Dalian Consular Office of the Republic of Korea

On December 25, 2012, the Dalian Office of King and Capital Law Firm signed a Legal Counsel Agreement with the Dalian Consular Office of the Republic of Korea (Korea).
Due to the importance of Dalian in the communication and cooperation between China and Korea, the government of Korea established the Consular Office in Dalian, which opened on August 30, 2012, and was the tenth consulate established in China by Korea. The Dalian Consular Office of the Republic of Korea not only provides consular services to the Koreans in Dalian while promoting communication between Dalian and the Korean government and society, but also provides visa services for residents and entrepreneurs of Dalian to visit, travel and study in Korea.
During the 20 years following the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Korea, the cooperation between these two countries has progressively strengthened. Koreans are increasingly travelling to Dalian to invest, work and study, and the numbers of Chinese visiting, travelling and studying in Korea have similarly been increasing . At present, there are more than 6000 Koreans living in Dalian, with over 1300 Korean students studying in Dalian, accounting for about one third of the foreign students attending Dalian universities. Currently, 2610 Korean owned enterprises are registered in Dalian and the amount of utilized capital is USD $5.6 billion. In 2011, the total volume of trade between Dalian and Korea was USD $5.1 billion. Dalian has become the sister city of Incheon, Busan, Jeju Province, Gwangyang and another three Korean cities and has awarded the title of ‘Honorary Citizen of Dalian’ to twenty-three Koreans.
