Working experience
Since passing the Chinese National Bar Examination in 1988 he has practised at several leading Shanghai law firms, including Zhong Lun, King and Wood, and Midosuji, developing his ability to work in both Chinese and Japanese. Subsequently he was awarded the "Lawyer of Foreign Legal Affairs" certificate. During his more than twenty year career, he has developed specialities in commercial, financial and criminal work, and is frequently consulted by clients requiring advice relating to international trade.

- Construction Bank Jinan Branch v. a Hong Kong wholly-owned enterprise and Shandong International Trust and Investment Corporation (loan guarantee dispute);

- Criminal defense for:
- Ma Xuezeng charged with corruption(Ma was sentenced to 13 years imprisonment at first trial, but subsequently his case was returned to procuratorial organs for supplementary investigation.);
- Wang Jisheng charged with Bribery (Returned for further investigation at first trial.
- Zhang Qiang charged with housebreaking and robbery ( Zhang was sentenced to death penalty with immediate execution at first trial but his sentence was reduced to the death penalty suspended for two years (succeeded by life imprisonment) at the second trial.
