Recently, the Chinese Trademark Association announced the scope of responsibilities and institutional settings of the new Brand Rights Protection Working Committee, and Beijing King&Capital Law Firm became a member of the committee.


The Brand Rights Protection Committee of China Trademark Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee") is a branch of China Trademark Association, which was established on April 23, 2018, and carries out its work under the guidance and support of China Trademark Association. The Committee is centered on the Secretariat and fully coordinates its daily operation. By integrating the strengths of its members and establishing an information sharing mechanism and smooth communication channels, the committee will play an important role in quickly collecting infringement clues, reflecting claims to relevant organizations, taking timely measures to defend rights, improving the efficiency of combating infringement, and actively exploring the effective resolution of trademark intellectual property disputes. The main duties of the committee are as follows: to pay attention to brand trademark legal developments and cases, and provide professional and timely information reference; to organize seminars, training courses, salons and other professional exchange activities related to the application, management and protection of brand trademarks in order to enhance the ability to protect trademarks; to undertake research on the basic theories or special issues related to the protection of brand trademarks commissioned by the relevant governmental departments or social organizations; and to actively develop the brand trademark protection system on the basis of the committee. Relying on the committee, it actively carries out exchanges and cooperation in the field of brand trademark protection, explores the formation of a mechanism for timely detection and collection of clues of infringement, effective adoption of measures for protection of rights, and efficient resolution of conflicts and disputes; it also provides the government with policy suggestions and a list of key enterprises for protection.
