On August 25, 2022, the Beijing Chaoyang District Law Society held the Second General Meeting of Members and the First Meeting of the Second Council.

Member representatives from Chaoyang District Public Security Bureau, Procuratorate, Court, Judicial Bureau, governmental organs and legal experts from the capital attended the congress. The meeting considered the Report on the Work of the First Council of the Chaoyang District Law Society, the description of the preparations for the new term, and elected the members of the Second Council.

Mr. Liu Ming, senior partner of Beijing King&Capital Law Firm, was a member of the first council of Chaoyang District Law Society. Over the past five years, according to the rules of the Law Society, focusing on the rule of law publicity and education, legal research, legal services and the creation of the rule of law brand, he has carried out a large number of lectures on the rule of law, special training, policy interpretation, dispute mediation and other work, and has been actively carrying out his duties to promote the construction of the rule of law.

The General Assembly elected 58 directors, and Liu Ming was appointed as the director of the second session of the Council.

The new council of Chaoyang District Law Society will, under the business guidance of Beijing Law Society, deepen the understanding of the law of Chaoyang District according to the characteristics of the region, and continue to carry out legal research, academic exchanges, rule of law propaganda and legal services and other activities. By carrying out various forms of legal research work, it will explore legal theory and rule of law practice issues with the characteristics of Chaoyang District, and continue to create a new situation for the work of the Law Society.
