From May 22 to 26, 2023, the Legal Aid Center of the Ministry of Justice held a national training course on quality management of legal aid. At the opening ceremony, the leaders of the Legal Aid Center of the Ministry of Justice delivered a speech, emphasizing that legal aid work should firmly establish the awareness of the lifeline of quality, with the goal of implementing the "provision of standardized legal aid services to the recipients", and requiring that the quality assessment lawyers involved in the evaluation of legal aid cases and the personnel of the provincial legal aid centers should be based on the Rules for Peer Assessment of Legal Aid Cases. The lawyers involved in assessing the quality of legal aid cases and the staff of provincial legal aid centers are required to take the "Rules for Peer Evaluation of Legal Aid Cases" as the basis, adhere to the problem-oriented and result-oriented approach, and promote the continuous improvement of the quality of legal aid cases, so as to play an active role in the national legal aid work.
After being recommended by provincial justice departments and assessed by the Legal Aid Center of the Ministry of Justice, a total of 186 lawyers (including criminal lawyers and civil lawyers) were included in the Ministry of Justice's Legal Aid Case Quality Evaluation Lawyer Pool to assess the quality of legal aid cases sampled nationwide.
Mr. Liu Ling, senior partner of King&Capital Law Firm, attended the training and was once again included in the Quality Assessment Lawyer Pool for Legal Aid Cases of the Ministry of Justice. Starting from 2019, Mr. Liu Ling has participated in the quality assessment of legal aid cases (criminal) organized by the Legal Aid Center of the Ministry of Justice for five consecutive years.
