On April 14th, King&Capital senior partner Wang Xintong, partner Meng Fan, Liu Zhihui, and Beijing Changping District People's Procuratorate Prosecutor Wang Zhimeng and Xu Huiting were invited to participate in the 11th King&Capital Cup Criminal Moot Court Competition, which was organized by the Practice Department of the Student Union of the School of Criminal Justice of the University of China University of Political Science and Law, at Mingfa Building. “Criminal Moot Court Competition, organized by the Practice Department of the Student Union of the School of Criminal Justice of China University of Political Science and Law. During the two main rounds in the morning and afternoon, several lawyers and prosecutors formed a collegial panel to guide and comment on the competition.

Before the competition, several lawyers from King&Capital Law Firm and two prosecutors arrived at the site of the competition in advance to have a full understanding of the basic case and the competition system.

The competition is divided into “prosecution and defense”, “evidence”, “court debate”, “trial summary”, “final statement” five parts. During the process, King&Capital lawyers and prosecutors on-site guided the contestants on the techniques of proof and evidence, as well as the methods of trial summarization.


After the adjournment of the hearing, the three members of the panel retired from the courtroom, and based on the performance of the contestants, the prosecution and defense teams were scored in detail according to the scoring criteria. Afterwards, the performance of each team was discussed collectively, and the scoresheet was synthesized, and the winning team and the best debater were finally evaluated.

In the final guest commentary, several lawyers and prosecutors commented on the performance of prosecutors, defenders, witnesses and defendants, and gave suggestions and guidance on court etiquette, court language and other details of the trial. Several lawyers and prosecutors also provided detailed answers to the doubts raised by the contestants.




At this point, the second round of the 11th King&Capital Cup Criminal Mock Trial Competition was successfully completed.
