Thirty years of spring and fall have witnessed generations of paralegals walking with hopes and dreams, and thirty years of spring and fall have engraved the unchanging pursuit of righteousness, justice and fairness by one session of paralegals.
On the morning of May 12, 2024, the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Associate Lawyers Association was held in China University of Political Science and Law. Wang Liyan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China University of Political Science and Law, Tong Lihua, Founder of Para-Lawyers Association and Vice President of Beijing Lawyers Association, Liu Guiming, Executive Director of Rule of Law Times Magazine and Editorial Board of China Democracy and Legalism Publishing House, and Xu Jiali, Doctoral Supervisor of China University of Political Science and Law and President of Beijing Lawyers' Law Society, and other distinguished guests gathered together to look back on the thirty glorious years that have passed since the Para-Lawyers Association was founded.

On that day, Tian Wenchang, Honorary Director of King&Capital Law Firm, delivered a speech on the line. Chu Changzhi, Managing Partner and CEO of King&Capital Law Firm, Wang Jiuchuan, Senior Partner of King&Capital Law Firm, and Xu Ying, Senior Partner of King&Capital Law Firm were invited to participate in the event.
At the opening ceremony, Tong Lihua, the founder of the Associate Lawyers Association, the director of Beijing Zhicheng Law Firm and the current vice president of Beijing Lawyers Association, delivered a speech. Ms. Tong told the history of the founding of the Associate Lawyers Association, reviewed the past brilliant achievements of the Association, and expressed her best wishes for the Associate Lawyers and the Associate Lawyers.

Subsequently, Liu Guiming, Executive Director of Rule of Law Times Magazine and Editorial Board of China Democracy and Legal System Press, Xu Jiali, Doctoral Supervisor of China University of Political Science and Law and President of Beijing Lawyers' Law Research Association, Wu Hongyao, Instructor of Para-Lawyers' Association, and Wang Liyan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China University of Political Science and Law, and other guests delivered their speeches and speeches respectively.

“It has been 30 years since the Paralegal Association of China University of Political Science and Law was founded, and time has passed so quickly that some of the scenes from 30 years ago are still vivid in my mind when I look back.” Tian Wenchang, Honorary Director of King&Capital Law Firm, expressed his good wishes and expectations for the Para-Lawyers' Association and the paralegals to the leaders of the school, the fellow lawyers and the students in the audience through a video, and told the story of how he had formed a bond with the Para-Lawyers' Association at the University of China University of Political Science and Law in the same year. He mentioned that the Associate Lawyers Association was founded on a “Flying Pigeon” bicycle with two or eight bars, and the founder rode this bicycle, which belonged to Tian Wenchang in those years, to travel all over the world and open up the future of the Associate Lawyers.
“The Associate Lawyers Association has become a cradle for nurturing outstanding lawyers.” Attorney Tian Wenchang talked about how such activities allow school students to get to know lawyers and come into contact with them at an earlier age, as well as being able to participate in some hands-on activities in handling cases. “It is very important for enhancing students' practical skills and solving the problem of linking theory and practice.”

“As far as my experience is concerned, our LU students are very capable of innovation in legal practice and are a very active group, which has been recognized by the whole society.” King&Capital Law Firm senior partner Wang Jiuchuan in his speech recalled his own experience of participating in club activities during his school years. As a beneficiary of school club activities, Wang Jiuchuan said, “Participating in club activities trains your ability to think, socialize and participate in club activities. From a professional point of view, legal thinking is very important, in the classroom is the theoretical part of learning, of course, there are some skills training, but the real practical skills, legal practice experience and other social experience, you still need to go through the community organization this platform to contact with the community, to get a preliminary experience.” Lawyer Wang Jiuchuan expects the students of LU to turn the pressure of competition into self-confidence in the future, and under the leadership of the Associate Lawyers Association, they will continue to practice legal practice, gradually detach themselves from the mentality of the ivory tower, and think more about their own future, so that they will have the opportunity to join the legal profession in the future and add color to LU.

“My personal impression of the Associate Lawyers Association is that when I first heard its name, I thought the name of this club was so powerful.” Xu Ying, Senior Partner of King&Capital Law Firm, talked about her impression of the Paralegal Association. Xu Ying recalled her first acquaintance with law firms through campus activities during her school years, and her final choice to join King&Capital Law Firm. Regarding the legal profession, Xu Ying talked about the importance of comprehensive quality for lawyers, “The legal profession is an industry that requires particularly high comprehensive quality of people. Because law is one of the disciplines where theory and practice are most closely integrated, you are like an explorer, a discoverer, constantly navigating through norms and facts to find points of defense.” She encouraged the students to actively participate in social practice and club activities to improve their overall quality, exercise their organizational and communication skills, enrich their social practice skills, expand their horizons, and truly devote themselves to participating in the cause of legal practice.

In order to promote the further development of China University of Political Science and Law Associate Lawyers Association, the Associate Lawyers Association hereby establishes the China University of Political Science and Law Associate Lawyers Association Development Fund, which is aimed at cultivating legal workers with high legal literacy who are able to take up social responsibilities. In the Paralegal Association Development Fund, the “Paralegal of the Year” Scholarship is established to reward individuals with outstanding performance and contributions. At the award ceremony of “Para-Lawyer of the Year”, Mr. Chu Changzhi, Managing Partner and CEO of King&Capital Law Firm, together with other guests, presented the certificates to the award-winning students. Finally, all the participants took a group photo in front of the Law Yuan Pavilion, and the opening ceremony of the 30th anniversary of China University of Political Science and Law Associate Lawyers Association was successfully concluded.
