On 21st December, 2024, the Theoretical Seminar on ‘Lawyering in the Context of Chinese Modernisation’ and the Launching Ceremony of the Major Academic Project of Chinese Lawyers in the Fifty-Year Period (1979-2029) were held in Beijing, which was presided over by Prof. Han Xiutao, Dean of the School of Law of Beijing Institute of Technology, Han Bing, Deputy Director of the Haidian District Judicial Bureau of Beijing. Han Bing, Deputy Director of Beijing Haidian District Bureau of Justice, Li Shouping, Dean of School of Law, Beijing Institute of Technology, Ma Xiaolong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Law, China University of Political Science and Law, Wang Jinxi, Professor of China University of Political Science and Law, and Zhang Jingzhong, Former Vice-President of All-China Lawyers' Association were present at the meeting.

Tian Wenchang, Honorary Director of King&Capital Law Firm, was invited to participate in the meeting and donate books, and spoke as a representative of the lawyers who donated books.

Tian Wenchang pointed out that the history of China's lawyers is very short, until today only a hundred years, but the first few decades is fragmented decades, only after 1979 to now is the prosperous development, rapid development of the decades, therefore, China's lawyers fifty years of major academic project is too important, the history of the latter collated by people inevitably distorted, the history of the people who have experienced their own to write the history will be true and reliable and more valuable. In order to support the academic project, TianWenChang lawyers donated more than a dozen personal writings and dozens of King&Capital published, and said, will spare no effort to donate to the academic project research organisations one after another to research materials, and wishing the institutions to achieve good research results.
