Recently, Mr. Jun Xia, senior partner of Beijing King&Capital Law Firm, was invited by the Graduate School of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCSS) to conduct a legal clinic course titled “Advancement of Criminal Trial Practice - Analyzing the Methods and Strategies of Court Investigations and Court Arguments” for the graduate students of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCSS).

During the full-day course, Mr. Xia Jun deeply analyzed the methods, skills and strategies of court investigation and court debates in criminal trials, focusing on criminal trial practice and combining years of rich practical experience and defense experience. In the course of court investigation, Mr. Xia Jun explained in detail the practical skills such as questioning, proof and evidence through theory, interactive discussion, case sharing and simulation exercise. In the course of court debate, Ms. Xia Jun shared the logical thinking and expression skills of court debate. In addition, she also through a number of practical cases to share, to the students analysis of the core points of concern in the court debate and defense strategy.

During the whole day's teaching, students actively participated in the simulation exercises and Q&A sessions, the classroom atmosphere was warm, and they all said that the course was very rewarding, and this combination of theoretical and practical teaching methods enabled them to have a deeper understanding and knowledge of criminal trial practice.
