On July 18th, the preliminaries of the 2025 Beijing Chaoyang District Young Lawyers Criminal Mock Trial Competition came to a successful conclusion. The defense team consisting of Zheng Xian, Qian Hao and Wang Lili from Fucheng Law Firm of the Criminal Department II and the prosecutor team consisting of Feng Wang, Chen Sai-Nan from the Criminal Department III, and Liu Bing-Yang from the Financial Department II, successfully advanced through the fierce competition.

In this competition, the final stage of Chaoyang District, each law firm sent a total of thirty teams to participate in the selection of ten teams to enter the preliminaries stage. King&Capital Law Firm sent a total of four teams to participate in the Kyoto Dream Team, during the competition, the Kyoto Dream Team competed professionally, competed in style, highlighting the power of the youth of the Kyoto Criminal Defense.

Pre-match training

Before the preliminaries, the firm attached great importance to the business management department, led by Liang Yali, Weng Xiaoping, Li Rong and An Hongpeng lawyers to participate in the guidance and organization of the team training. During the training, the participating lawyers gradually familiarized themselves with the process of the Moot Court Competition, the time control and appearance and other precautions, enhanced the tacit understanding between teammates, and refined the accurate expression of the pleadings, laying a good foundation for achieving excellent results in the actual battle.

Style on the field of play

Three of the four teams drew the prosecution side and one team drew the defense side. During the competition, the teams overcame the difficulties of identity change and won the high appreciation of the judges with their professional criminal defense skills, rigorous logical reasoning, fluent courtroom expression and appropriate emotional appeal. In the end, the two teams successfully advanced.
