On June 30, 2026, the Fourth Beijing Chaoyang District Bar Association convened its Eighth Members’ Congress. Zhu Yonghui, Deputy Director of the 12th Beijing Bar Association’s Legal Professional Committee on Compliance and Risk Prevention and Control and Managing Partner of Beijing King&Capital Law Firm, Xiao Shuwei, Party Committee Secretary of Beijing King&Capital Law Firm and Deputy Supervisor of the Chaoyang District Bar Association; and Liang Yali, Senior Partner at Beijing King&Capital Law Firm and Deputy Director of the Criminal Practice Research Association of the Chaoyang District Bar Association, attended the conference as member representatives. They fulfilled their representative duties in accordance with the law, actively participated in industry deliberations, and discussed the future direction of the Chaoyang legal profession with lawyer representatives from across the district.

The meeting provided an explanation of the amendments to the *Articles of Association of the Beijing Chaoyang District Bar Association*. Focusing on the key points of the amendments and drawing on their professional practice, the attending representatives engaged in in-depth discussions. After expressing their views and offering suggestions, the *Articles of Association of the Beijing Chaoyang District Bar Association* were adopted by a vote.
In his closing remarks, Ni Dongxin, Party Secretary and Director of the Chaoyang District Bureau of Justice, fully affirmed the outstanding contributions of Chaoyang lawyers to the advancement of the rule of law, foreign-related services, and grassroots governance. He put forward five requirements: First, uphold political integrity to ensure the correct direction; second, use the revision of the Articles of Association as a lever to drive institutional innovation; third, implement the delegation of disciplinary authority to purify the industry’s ecosystem; fourth, complete the leadership transition to high standards by selecting and appointing an outstanding and capable leadership team; fifth, to provide targeted services that support the region’s overall development and contribute to the construction of a “Five-Suitable” Chaoyang. In closing, he encouraged all lawyers to remain true to their original aspirations, practice in accordance with regulations, continue to enhance the profession’s reputation, and make new contributions to the advancement of the rule of law in the capital.
