To further promote the deep integration of the firm’s Party-building efforts with its legal services and to help newly hired Party members quickly integrate into the team, the Party Committee of King&Capital Law Firm held a welcome symposium for new Party members on September 9. The meeting was chaired by Ye Jing, a member of the Party Committee, and attended by Xiao Shuwei, Secretary of the Party Committee; Ou Yang, member in charge of culture and sports; and Zhang Xinyao, member in charge of publicity.
At the start of the event, Secretary Xiao Shuwei, on behalf of the Party Committee of King&Capital Law Firm, extended a warm welcome to the newly joined Party member attorneys and provided a detailed overview of the firm’s Party Committee development.
He noted that the Party Committee of King&Capital Law Firm was established in July 2022 and currently has 172 Party members organized into eight Party branches. The firm’s Party-building efforts have yielded fruitful results, Recently, the *Rule of Law Daily*’s all-media platform published a special report titled “Party Building Leads the Way in Uniting Forces for Progress; the Rule of Law Safeguards and Deepens Public Welfare,” highlighting the Party Committee’s long-standing commitment to the front lines of legal services, its use of Party building to promote the firm’s development, and its sustained contributions to public welfare. This report fully demonstrates the solid achievements and industry influence of King&Capital’s Party building work.
Taking into account the unique characteristics of the legal profession, Secretary Xiao Shuwei expressed earnest expectations for all newly joined Party members. He emphasized that lawyer-Party members must keep their political studies up to date and promote the deep integration of Party building with their professional practice. He stressed that political study must not become a mere formality but must closely align with the forefront of rule-of-law development, updates in judicial policies, and industry trends, thereby truly using Party building to guide professional development.
In this regard, he used the Supreme People’s Court’s recently issued guidelines on adjudicating artificial intelligence disputes as a starting point to thoroughly explain the close connection between theoretical study and practical case handling. Secretary Xiao Shuwei pointed out that in the new era, lawyers must closely follow policy directions, thoroughly grasp the spirit of judicial decisions, and integrate the latest judicial interpretations and the spirit of central meetings into the entire process of case handling and legal services. At the same time, drawing on the Supreme People’s Court’s judicial philosophy of “as if I were the plaintiff,” he encouraged Party member lawyers to remain true to their original aspirations in their practice, to always maintain empathy and the ability to see matters from others’ perspectives, to set aside any sense of professional superiority, to patiently and meticulously address clients’ needs, to break down communication barriers in legal services, and to uphold the principle of “justice for the people” through professional, dedicated, and compassionate service.
During the self-introduction and sharing session for “new” Party members, they unanimously expressed that they were deeply honored to join the King&Capital Law Firm’s Party member community and had already deeply felt the firm’s strong atmosphere of Party building, pragmatic professional ethos, and warm team camaraderie. Everyone pledged that in the future, they would consistently hold themselves to the high standards expected of Party members, uphold the original aspirations of the rule of law, fulfill their mission and responsibilities, deepen their professional expertise, and refine their practical skills. They committed to proactively translating the outcomes of Party-building studies into tangible results in legal services, actively playing a vanguard and exemplary role as Party members, and contributing the energy of their youth to the firm’s high-quality development and the advancement of the legal profession.

After the meeting, Secretary Xiao Shuwei presented professional books to the newly joined Party member attorneys, encouraging them to exemplify the vanguard and model role of Party members in their respective positions and to strive to write a new chapter in the high-quality development of the legal profession in the new era.
The holding of this welcome symposium for new Party members not only deepened mutual understanding among Party members but also further consolidated their strength and solidified the foundation of the firm’s Party building.
