The Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit 2023 was organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), with the theme of "Building an Open World Economy with Firm Confidence and Win-Win Cooperation". Mr. Ren Hongbin, President of CCPIT, released the Beijing Initiative for the Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit 2023 on behalf of the participating business communities. The Initiative was fully communicated and negotiated by the business communities of the participating countries and reached a broad consensus, mainly including the five-point initiative of strengthening confidence and unity and cooperation, promoting the stabilization and recovery of the world economy, adhering to the innovation-driven development, promoting the green and sustainable development, and giving full play to the unique role of the business community.

The Summit also organized the "China's New Development, New Opportunities for the World", "Adhering to Innovation Leadership, Digital Enabled Growth", "Upholding Green and Low Carbon, Promoting Sustainable Development" and "Uniting the Power of Trade Promotion". Four parallel forums on "Uniting the Power of Trade Promotion, Promoting Openness and Cooperation".
