On May 28th, 2023, the Rule of Law Forum "Politics and Law, Pujiang Love" and 2023 Northwestern University of Political Science and Law Shanghai Alumni Association was successfully held in Shanghai. Mr. Tian Wenchang, Advisor of Criminal Committee of All-China Lawyers Association, Honorary President of Advanced Institute of Criminal Defense of Northwestern University of Political Science and Law, Doctoral Supervisor, Honorary Advisor of China Society of Criminal Law, Honorary Director of King&Capital Law Firm, was invited to attend the forum and give a keynote speech.

Mr. Tian Wenchang gave a speech on the theme of "Talking about the rule of law with young lawyers - from the concept of the rule of law to the idea of the rule of law".

Mr. Tian Wenchang said that young people after 80s were born in the era of the concept of rule of law, they do not understand the hard-won concept of the rule of law, and have not felt the significance of the concept of the rule of law. 1980 years ago, China has always been a society ruled by man, and only after the Cultural Revolution did the process of the rule of law in Chinese society begin, but the rule of law from legal system to the rule of law (from the system of knives to the rule of water) and then went through a whole twenty years. Chinese society has gone from the rule of man to the rule of law, and then from the ''rule of law'' to the ''rule of law'', which is a long journey of several thousand years. It has been a long journey of several thousand years. However, after more than 40 years of building the rule of law, although people have recognized the concept of the rule of law, they have not yet developed the idea of the rule of law. Nowadays, the thinking of the rule of man is embodied in all corners of social life, taken for granted, and is ubiquitous. From the concept of the rule of man to the concept of the rule of law, only the acceptance of the concept of the rule of law and identity. From the concept of the rule of law to the concept of the rule of law, in order to truly move towards a society based on the rule of law. Therefore, the society that has not developed the concept of the rule of law is not a real society of the rule of law. Finally, Tian Wenchang said, from the concept of the rule of law to the concept of the rule of law, is the premise of the rule of law in Chinese society; the public generally have the concept of the rule of law way of thinking, is the fundamental symbol of the rule of law society; to establish a firm concept of the rule of law and to promote the whole society to develop the concept of the rule of law, is the social responsibility incumbent upon the young lawyers.
