In the afternoon of April 8, King&Capital Law Firm held a special training on risk prevention of lawyer practice in the multi-function hall on the 22nd floor. The event was presided over by Director Zhu Yonghui, and lectured by Mr. Xiao Shuwei, secretary of the Party Committee and senior partner of the firm, with more than one hundred lawyers attending the training through on-site and online. The five western lawyers of the Capital Lawyer Industry East, Central and West Counterpart Assistance Program were invited as guests to participate in the meeting.
At the beginning of the activity, director Zhu Yonghui made an introduction to the background of this training, and elaborated on the importance of standardizing practice in accordance with the law and preventing practice risks. Director Zhu emphasized that King&Capital Law Firm as a comprehensive large-scale law firm, all lawyers should practice in good faith and compliance, never touch the red line of practice discipline, and work together to maintain the good reputation of Kyoto lawyers.

Subsequently, Secretary Xiao Shuwei, under the title of “Regulating Practice Risks to be a Lawyer Satisfied by the Party and the People”, combined with his experience as the director of the Disciplinary Committee of the Municipal Lawyers' Association and his more than thirty years of experience in lawyer practice, he systematically introduced the definitions, types and consequences of the risks of lawyer practice, as well as how to prevent the risks of practice with vivid cases and humorous language.
Secretary Xiao emphasized that once violating the regulations governing the practice of lawyers may be subject to disciplinary action by the profession, administrative penalties, civil compensation or even criminal penalties, and party lawyers may also be subject to party disciplinary action. Therefore, it is very necessary to fully understand and strive to prevent the risk of practicing law.
Xiao secretary pointed out that lawyers should be from the objective publicity of their own ability to work, realistic analysis of the case, diligence and responsibility to provide services, and constantly improve the level of business, standardize the signing of the agency contract, the whole process of work to leave traces, to avoid conflict of interest, standardize the issuance of legal letters and so on eight aspects of standardization of their own practice, and effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the client in accordance with the law, to do the party and the people's satisfaction with the lawyers.
