Lawyer Xiao Shuwei elected as supervisor of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association

Xiao Shuwei, a lawyer, was elected as a supervisor of the Second Supervisory Board at the Seventh Members' Congress of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association held on May 11, 2025. He is also the only supervisor among the five supervisors who holds the title of lawyer.


Chinese Preventive Medicine Association

The Chinese Preventive Medicine Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) is a national academic organization voluntarily formed by scientific and technological workers in the fields of public health and preventive medicine. It is a direct affiliate and liaison unit of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention and a component of the China Association for Science and Technology. The Society was established in 1987. Currently, preventive medicine societies have been established in 30 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country, as well as in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Municipal and county-level preventive medicine societies have also been established, forming a relatively complete system of preventive medicine societies nationwide. The Society's headquarters is located in Beijing, with 54 institutional members and over 110,000 individual members. The Society has 78 branches, covering most sub-disciplines of public health and preventive medicine. It publishes 72 series of periodicals, including 70 academic journals and one each of health science popularization newspapers and journals.
