To further consolidate the achievements of the regularized Party history education campaign, strengthen the political literacy and sense of mission among Party member attorneys, and implement King&Capital Law Firm’s guiding principle of “Party building leading firm development,” the Party Committee of King&Capital Law Firm organized more than 40 Party member attorneys and key representatives to travel to Jinzhou, Liaoning Province, from July 11 to 12, 2026, for a two-day “red-themed” Party building practical activity. Led by Xiao Shuwei, Secretary of the firm’s Party Committee, and Zhu Yonghui, Managing Partner, the event centered on the themes of “Forging the Spirit Through Revolutionary Education” and “Engaging with Grassroots Communities.” The delegation visited historic revolutionary sites to reflect on their original aspirations, experienced the lives of educated youth from that era and witnessed the new face of rural life firsthand, and reflected on past hardships to appreciate present blessings, thereby completing an immersive and profound process of Party spirit cultivation.
Tracing the Footsteps of the Battle: A Joint Visit to the Liaoshen Campaign Memorial Hall

On July 11, the Party-building delegation arrived at the Liaoshen Campaign Memorial Hall, a National Patriotic Education Demonstration Base. As China’s premier specialized museum for military history within the social sciences, the Liaoshen Campaign Memorial Hall covers an area of 180,000 square meters and houses over 2,100 artifacts, photographs, and supplementary exhibits, comprehensively documenting the glorious history of the Liaoshen Campaign—the opening battle of the strategic decisive battles in the War of Liberation. Guided by a professional docent’s systematic explanation, all Party members from King&Capital Law Firm followed the historical timeline, touring the Introduction Hall, the Military History Hall, the Home Front Support Hall, the Martyrs’ Hall, and the Panoramic Painting Hall in sequence, comprehensively reliving the grand course of the Liaoshen Campaign.

In the on-site display cases, combat weapons bearing traces of gunpowder smoke and personal effects of martyrs, precious historical materials on the walls capturing frozen moments in time, and the immersive panoramic gallery recreating actual battlefield scenes—all transported the Party members present back to the revolutionary era of raging warfare. They genuinely felt the heroic spirit of their revolutionary forebears, who sacrificed their lives and fought valiantly in the blood-soaked battles, and gained a deep understanding of the historical significance of the Liaoshen Campaign as a pivotal battle in the national liberation that fundamentally altered the strategic landscape of the War of Liberation.
All Party members entered the iconic panoramic art gallery to immerse themselves in the panoramic oil paintings recreating the decisive moments of the Liaoshen Campaign. The massive canvases, combined with sound and light effects, realistically recreated the battle scenes of relentless artillery fire and fierce assaults, vividly reenacting the heroic and tragic moments of the capture of Jinzhou. The immersive audiovisual experience allowed everyone to intuitively feel the heroic spirit of the revolutionary forebears as they fearlessly fought against overwhelming odds.
In the Martyrs’ Hall, rows of martyrs’ names, relief sculptures of heroes, and their personal artifacts chronicled the stories of countless young soldiers who sacrificed their lives for justice. Many Party members from King&Capital spontaneously paused in silent reflection before the portraits of the martyrs, paying tribute to the revolutionary forebears who gave their lives for the cause of liberation, and were deeply moved.
Revisiting Memories of the Educated Youth: Six Decades of Unbreakable Party Comradeship
On July 12, the Party-building team shifted its learning focus from revolutionary history to the front lines of rural revitalization. All Party members traveled to Sihai Village in Houlü Village, Jinzhou, to inspect the village’s appearance and the achievements in improving the living environment firsthand, experiencing up close the new face of rural development in the new era. They also held a face-to-face discussion with villager representatives and grassroots cadres in the village committee meeting room.

Comrade Tian Wenchang fondly recalled his three years as an educated youth in Sihai Village starting in 1968, and the villagers joined him in reminiscing about past events that remain vivid in everyone’s memory to this day. Back then, he dedicated himself to optimizing crop production. He was the first to advocate for rice cultivation, solved irrigation challenges by using well water, and took the lead in developing and promoting rice farming—enabling local farmers, who had grown only dryland crops for generations, to enjoy high-quality rice and other staple foods. During a critical flood relief operation, as the leader of the Youth Entrepreneurship Team, he put his own safety aside and led a hundred team members in carrying sandbags to build dams and forming human chains to block the floodwaters…
More than 60 years have flown by in the blink of an eye. In 1971, Tian Wenchang left Sihai Village. After returning to the city to work, he went on to earn a master’s degree, joined the faculty at China University of Political Science and Law, and later resigned to found the King&Capital Law Firm. Later, Sihai Village was merged into Houlu Village. Yet his bond with Sihai Village has never faded. Over the years, he has maintained the exemplary conduct expected of a Party member; no matter how busy or exhausted he was at work, he never forgot to continue providing pro bono legal aid to the villagers.
Returning to his former home in Sihai Village after more than a decade, Tian Wenchang and his delegation were welcomed by local villagers with songs and dances.

During the subsequent discussion, Xiao Shuwei, Secretary of the Party Committee at King&Capital Law Firm, highlighted the development of the firm’s Party Committee. He noted that King&Capital Law Firm has long integrated Party building into the firm’s development, encouraging Party members to consistently serve as vanguards and role models and to actively participate in the wave of grassroots rule of law construction. Zhu Yonghui, Director of King&Capital Law Firm, focused on the firm’s development over the past 30 years since its founding by Comrade Tian Wenchang. Zhu Yonghui expressed with deep emotion that, while retracing the path of struggle taken by veteran Party members, he had felt nothing but enthusiasm and vitality along the way. “As the younger generation, we should be grateful to the older generation for making history and live up to the nurturing and high expectations our predecessors have placed on us,” he said.
At the symposium, Party members from King&Capital Law Firm listened attentively to firsthand accounts from members of the Houlu Village Party Committee regarding rural governance and industrial development. They gained an in-depth understanding of the vivid practices of implementing the rural revitalization strategy at the grassroots level, stepped beyond their professional perspectives to observe the genuine needs of local residents, and developed a more solid understanding of the “people-centered” development philosophy. Through post-meeting visits, Party members gained firsthand insight into local ecological agriculture development models and the achievements of industry-driven poverty alleviation, directly experiencing the dynamic vitality of the integration between the real economy and rural industries.

This themed Party-building activity was a key initiative by the Party Committee of King&Capital Law Firm to strengthen the Party organization as a “battle fortress” and innovate the forms of Party member education. Participating lawyer-Party members generally remarked that the two-day itinerary served as both a moving lesson in the history of the Party and a practical field research session rooted in the local community. “As lawyers and Party members in the new era, we will transform the insights gained from this learning experience into motivation to fulfill our duties. We will steadfastly uphold the fundamental tenet that lawyers serve the people and integrate the ‘red gene’ into every aspect of our legal services.”
For a long time, Beijing King&Capital Law Firm has consistently adhered to the work philosophy of “Party building leading firm development and Party building empowering growth,” deeply integrating Party building with the firm’s business development, team building, and public interest services. Moving forward, the Party Committee of King&Capital Law Firm will continue to diversify the platforms for educating Party members, continuously enhance the cohesion and effectiveness of the Party organization, and guide all lawyer-Party members to leverage their professional strengths to proactively serve the broader cause of building the rule of law. They will actively engage in public interest legal services and grassroots rule-of-law initiatives, putting the original aspirations and mission of lawyer-Party members into practice through concrete actions, and contribute King&Capital’s strength to building a China governed by the rule of law in the new era.
